CONTEST RULES
Citytv Extreme Dream Build Contest (the "Contest")

MS&L Worldwide ("Administrator"), 175 Bloor St. E., Suite 801, North Tower, Toronto, ON M4Z 3R8

1. "Contest Period" starts at 12:01 AM on Thursday September 24, 2009 and continues until 11:59 PM on Thursday October 29, 2009 (the "Contest Closing Date"). All times are Eastern. No purchase necessary. Only one (1) entry per person.
2. To enter, simply build a model of your Extreme Dream Home no bigger than two feet wide and two feet high, using whatever materials you choose (i.e. popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, construction paper, building blocks, etc) (price of all materials used in the construction of the model must total no more than $100), then go to www.Citytv.com, and click on contests complete the entry ballot in full and submit it as instructed by the Contest Closing Date, together with a photo of your final project including a brief description and tell us the inspiration behind it.
3. To enter without building a model, go to www.Citytv.com and click on contests, complete the entry ballot together a 50-word essay describing your Extreme Dream Home and submit it as instructed, before the Contest Closing Date.
   
   Extreme Dream Home Build Entry Guidelines:
   • The entry must be in English or French;
   • Candidate must comply with these contest rules;
   • The entry cannot have been submitted previously in a promotion of any kind (including any other contests during the Contest Period) or exhibited or displayed publicly through any means (excluding You Tube or Facebook);
   • The entry must be original.

   Extreme Dream Home Build Content Restrictions:

   • The entry must not contain material that violates or infringes another's rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement;
   • The entry must not disparage Citytv, a division of Rogers Broadcasting Limited ("Citytv"), Administrator or any other person or party affiliated with the promotion and administration of this contest;
   • The entry must not feature brand names or trademarks;
   • The entry must not contain text or material that you, the entrant, did not create;
   • The entry must not contain text or material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortuous, defamatory, slanderous or libelous;
   • The entry must not contain text that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; and
   • The entry must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any jurisdiction where entry is created.

   Any entry that does not comply, in the sole discretion of Citytv, with these rules will be automatically disqualified.

4. From Friday October 30, 2009 to Monday November 2, 2009, Citytv will select the top ten entries by reviewing all images and descriptions of entrants' inspiration. The images or essays that showcase the most creativity and inspiration behind the design will be selected. Photos will be judged at the Citytv office located at 545 Lake Shore Blvd., Toronto, ON M5V 1A3. The top ten entries will be selected by 5:00pm on Monday November 2 and submitted to our Expert Design Panel - CityLine's Ramsin Kachi and Jeanette Ewen, along with Samantha Sanella from the Design Exchange. The Expert Design Panel judges will select the top ten entries by reviewing all images and descriptions of the entrants' inspiration. All three judges will consult with one another via a phone conference on Wednesday November 4, 2009 before 5:00 PM in order to collectively select the potential winning entry that showcases the most creativity and inspiration behind the design. The potential winning entry will be announced online at Citytv.com at approximately 9:00 AM ET on Thursday November 12, 2009.
5. In the event the potential winner cannot be contacted within (3) three business days following selection, incorrectly answers the skill-testing question, declines the prize, or fails to return a release of liability as specified below, the entrant will be disqualified, all rights will be forfeited and a new potential winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries.
6. Participants are eligible to win one (1) prize. The prize consists of: a trip for four (4) including round trip economy seats from the international airport closest to the winner's home to Riviera Maya, Mexico and 7 nights all inclusive stay in two (2) standard rooms (double-occupancy) at AZUL Beach Hotel. Travel dates are subject to black-out periods. Air taxes and surcharges, airport transfers, hotel taxes and any related fees are included (the "Prize"). Total approximate retail value of the Prize is $12,000.00 CDN inclusive of taxes and surcharges based on sample departure from Toronto, Ontario. Prize value is the approximate retail value the supplier provided 30 days before the start of the Contest. Prize as described is subject to availability, may not be exchanged for cash, is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-salable, and must be accepted as awarded, without substitutions. At their election and in the event the prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded as described in these Official Rules, Citytv reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent or greater retail value should the prize, in whole or in part, become unavailable due to any reason. Travel arrangements must be made directly with itravel2000 through Citytv.
   
   Note: Winner and guests shall be responsible for all travel and medical insurance for the duration of the trip, ground transportation to and from the airport, gratuities, additional applicable taxes, incidentals and any and all other expenses not specified in the description of the Prize. Winner and guests must travel together and depart from an international airport in Toronto, Halifax, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg or Vancouver. Winner and guests are responsible for ensuring that all travel papers (visas, passports, tourist cards, etc.) or proper identification for country of travel are in good order, and are valid prior to, and for the entire duration of, the trip. All tickets and vouchers must be used on the same itinerary. Standard blackout periods apply, including statuary holidays and spring break. Travel insurance is highly recommended and should be purchased at time of booking. All required documentation for the prize will be sent via email directly to the selected entrant only after the selected entrant has met the eligibility requirements outlined in these rules, correctly answered a skill-testing question administered by phone at a mutually convenient time and the Official Contest Declaration and Release Form has been signed by the selected entrant and his/her guests, and returned to and received by Citytv. Winner's guests must have reached the age of majority in his/her province of residence or must have written permission from their parent or legal guardian to be able to participate in the prize trip. No changes to travel dates or passenger names are permitted once the booking has been made. Winner and guests must book and travel within 364 days from date of draw or prize will be forfeit. No extensions will be granted.
7. To be declared a winner, selected entrants must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time; and may need to return a signed release of liability and acknowledgment form. Contest judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the promotion and the awarding of prizes.
8. This contest is open to residents of Canada who are over the age of majority in their province or territory of residence (excluding residents of Quebec) and excluding employees of Citytv, Administrator, 4358376 CANADA INC. (dba itravel2000), their parent and affiliated companies, representatives, dealers and agents, contest suppliers and judges, and those with whom they are domiciled. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
9. No communications will be entered into except with selected entrants.
10. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Citytv. Citytv takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors. Citytv is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this contest. All entries become the property of Citytv and will not be returned.
11. Citytv is collecting personal data about entrants for the purpose of administering this contest. No further informational or marketing communications will be received by entrants unless entrants provide Citytv with explicit permission to do so as indicated on the entry form.  Please see Citytv's Privacy Policy at http://www.rogerspublishing.ca/privacy.htm for information on its policy towards maintaining the privacy and security of user information.
12. By entering this contest, entrants consent to the use of their entry, name, city of residence and/or any photograph of or that may be taken in publicity carried out by Citytv and/or their advertising agencies, without further notice or compensation.
13. By entering this contest, entrants release and hold harmless Citytv, its advertising and promotional agencies and the contest judge(s), their affiliates and respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively the "Releases") from any liability in connection with this contest or, if declared a winner, the prize(s). Before being declared a winner, entrants may be required to sign and return, within a stipulated period of time, a Declaration of Compliance with the Contest Rules and a full Liability and Publicity Release. Trip winner's guest must also sign and return a Declaration and a Liability/Publicity Release prior to being ticketed or within such other period as Citytv may specify. Trip winner's guest cannot be changed after the Declaration and Release are received.  By accepting a prize, winner consents to the use of their name, place of residence, voice, statements, photographs or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any medium or format without further compensation or notice.
14. This contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by Citytv. Contestants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules by participating in this contest. The terms of this contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
15. Citytv and/or Administrator assumes no responsibility for failure of the internet or the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. Citytv reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security, fairness, integrity, or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Citytv reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
16. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry.  All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this contest will be the contest server machine(s).
17. In the event of cancellation, Citytv may, in its sole discretion, elect to identify winners and award the prizes by way of random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the time of such cancellation.
